If you are a fellow reader/obsessive lover of books who wants to discuss and hear about books, consider joining us at our next book club meeting. We are a friendly group that listens to everyone's thoughts and opinions about our monthly book pick. But make no mistake-- this is not your typical light weight book club! In fact, we pride ourselves on talking about the book the entire time. So if you are a serious reader wanting to have a serious discussion about books and you live in the Chapel Hill/Durham/Raleigh North Carolina area, this is the book club for you!
The Literary Fiction group has been meeting since 2002- that's right we have been standing the test of time for 16 years! We meet once a month at Barnes and Nobles located at The Streets of Southpoint Mall at 7 p.m. on the second floor. Meetings typically happen on the first Monday of the month. If the first Monday is a holiday, we move the meeting to the second Monday of the month.
Our Nonfiction group has been meeting for a year now. We decided to create a second club meeting for those that wanted to focus on nonfiction works. Unlike the fiction group, we meet once every three months at a restaurant. We typically meet on the second or third Monday of the month. The restaurant locations are typically located in Durham or Chapel Hill.

Non-Fiction Book Club- "Feed & Read" Book List
Because our Barnes & Nobles Fiction book club focuses on literary fiction (with a handful of non-fiction exceptions), we decided to form a separate book club for our non-fiction fans. Even though we have only been meeting for non-fiction "Feed & Read" since February 2017, responses have been very positive and we think this will be another long running, successful book club. Unlike B&N Fiction book club, we meet every quarter, typically on the second or third Monday of the month. We also discuss our book over dinner, giving members an opportunity for social interaction. Make no mistake though (!), book discussion is thorough with lots of talking points about the book and it's author. Here's the non-fiction books we have done so far.
And here's is what we have coming
